Maximum Earning Capability
Males: If successfully used 4 x / year for 4 years. and neuter is completed = $17,000
Females: If successfully used 1 x / year, for 4 years, and spay is completed = $9,000
If approved, you make a $500 non refundable deposit. On the day you take your pup home, you pay for your pup, prices are listed on each litter page. We choose a pup for you based on your color and gender preferences that aligns with our breeding program goals for conformation, temperament, genetic health, and low shed genetics. We want to select the best pup possible for our breeding program so it can take 6 months - a year before you will get your pup. A signed contract with notary is required.
You can get paid at these milestones:
1) At around 18 months in age you will take your pup to our preferred Vet, paid by us, for Hips & Elbow X-Rays to be determined by OFA. If your dog scores "good" or better, has normal elbows, meets AKC conformation standards for appearance, temperament, & aptitude, your dog will enter into our breeding program. We will need to coordinate for Photo Shoot. After photo shoot is completed – you earn $500.
3) Mating: We need access to your dog for mating. If a "tie" is not immediately achieved, we may need to schedule a 2nd or 3rd mating which can be at your house, one of our family’s properties, or at a central location. You earn $500 for a successful “tie”. Only 1 “tie” is needed to produce a litter.
4) Litters: For Males - $500 for each successful litter produced, for Females, $1,500 for each successful litter produced.
You can get paid for both a "tie" (mate) and when a litter is produced. A "tie" does not always result in a litter.
Females will be used exclusively for our breeding program, breed 1-2 times a year with the goal to produce 1 litter per year from ages 2 - 5, capping at 4 litters in her lifetime. Within a week of her due date, she will be moved to one of our family's properties, where we help birth and raise her litter. She will be with our family for approximately 1.5 - 2 months each year. After we get a feel for her heat cycles, it's a benefit that can enable you to schedule family vacations while your dog is away. You will be invited to take your dog back home and meet her pups after they are naturally weened and effectively vaccinated at ~6 weeks in age. We would like to have her back on site for the scheduled “Take Home & Selection” day listed on the litter pages for client viewing. After her 4th & final litter, we will coordinate with you and pay for her Spay, you will receive your initial deposit back, the contract is complete, and you keep her fur-ever.
Males will be used to stud exclusively for our breeding program, no more than 4 times per year from ages 2 – 5 years old. You will be invited to meet his pups after they are effectively vaccinated at ~6 weeks in age. We would like to have him on site for the scheduled “Take Home & Selection” day listed on the litter pages. We will pay for neuter when we no longer plan to use his service or at 6 years in age, which ever comes first.
If your dog does not enter into our breeding program, upon proof of spay neuter you will receive your initial deposit back.
In the event that you no longer want to, or cannot participate in our breeding program: You will forfeit your initial deposit, you are required to spay neuter, submit proof, and the contract will terminate.
Requirements & considerations:
An enclosed back yard with a 6' fence or greater. In tact males & females have a tendency to roam more. Males can smell a female in heat from up to 2 miles away and will try to escape to mate. As males gets close to puberty, around 7 months in age, they will mark and hump. Typically they won't mark inside the house where they live, but they will mark everything outdoors and possibly inside if your move to a different home. We highly recommend using "belly bands" to train them not to mark. The belly bands are washable, can be used over and over to effectively "catch" their mark and detours them from wanting to mark in the future. The females heat cycle lasts around 2 weeks. They will swell and bleed. We highly recommend using "diapers" during this time to "catch" their bloody discharge. Diapers are washable and can be used over and over. After weening her pups, it can take up to a month for your female's underbelly to go back to normal.

Breeding is a serious undertaking and considered a high risk business.
It's certainly not for the faint of heart. Birthing is messy. Females continue to discharge for up to 2 weeks after birth, sometimes pups die, deadly disease is highly contagious, measures to protect the pups until they are effectively vaccinated must be taken, and raising pups can be a stinky ordeal. Sometimes pups don't find homes for several months past their take home date. Females nest within a couple of weeks of birth, digging holes in your back yard, digging up carpet, and can cause destruction to rooms, beds, and houses as birth becomes imminent. Breeding is considered a high risk business. In an economic downturn, it can become difficult to sell pups and breeding may have to cease until conditions improve. Moms & pups can have complications that can cause you to incur expensive vet bills, and can die giving birth.
Please know that we do not offer breeding rights to any person even when they are partnered with us. We retain control of all breeding rights. If all of this doesn't scare you away, text your interest to 480-584-9315 to get the conversation going!
