Early Spay Neuter

🤩 Aggression created by hormones.  The value of early spay neuter.  A dog should never walk in front of the owner

You are the Leader, NOT your dog.

When you don’t lead, the dog will and you won’t get the results you hope for.  Solution:  LEAD your dog.

Beginner - Walking dog - Mexican halti

DIY “Mexican Halti” with an ordinary leash:

  1. Slip the buckle/clip end of the leash through the hand loop end of the leash in a large loose circle.
  2. Place the loop over dog’s head at top of neck/base of head/back top of ears with the buckle/clip at the top of head.
  3. Hold the bottom of the large loop below the dog’s neck, twist the loop, place the new smaller loop over dog’s nose.
  4. Pull the loop tighter smaller to get a snug fit.

How to walk your dog 🐕

Excellent video that teaches your dog to relax and to respect you:  No touch, no talk, no eye contact.

How calm leadership transforms even the most aggressive dog.

“There is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad humans” - Cesar Millan

Cesar Millan's philosophy is that there are no inherently bad dogs, only misunderstood or untrained ones, often stating, "There are no bad dogs, just bad humans". He believes bad behavior—such as aggression, barking, or biting—is a result of human, not canine, deficiency.

Harnesses are NOT for walking dogs.

The right way to walk your dog.

Starting at around minute 16.

Harnesses are for pulling sleds, not tor walking dogs.  They put your dog in a leadership position.

You walk & lead your dog, not the other way around.

Project calm, confident energy.

😎🤩🤗

Teach your dog to WAIT for food:

Setting:  Boundaries, Rules, Limitations

Teach your dog to Stay:

Obsessive Behavior

Vegetables for your dog!

My favorite is CELERY.  Instantly freshens breath breath in humans too! 😅

Stop your dog from PULLING

Do not use a harness - they are for pulling sleds & it places your dog in a leadership position. YOU LEAD, not the dog.

Use a rope slip leash high up on neck

Calm confident energy & leadership

Don’t look at the dog, look at where you want to go

Use a quick jab with hand or foot to snap out of a behavior (correction), redirect attention

Use sound like a strong shhhh to redirect attention- to correct, snap out of a behavior, redirect attention

Best tools every dog owner should have

Slip Rope Leash or Mexican Halter

Weighted Vest or Back Pack

Roller Blades, Bike, or Skateboard

Treadmill

Crate

Stop a puppy from jumping
